MS1A is one of the three grammar courses which aim to expand students´ knowledge of English grammar structures. This course focuses on finite verb phrases. All verb tenses will be explored with special attention paid to problematic areas of English verbs.

Students of this course improve their language skills, mainly in the area of grammar structures, so that they are able to use them without difficulty in various situations. They acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the usage of the grammar discussed. The course focuses on the tense system, the passive, the causative and modal verbs.
