The aim of the subject is to introduce the issue of complex care for people with special needs, in the milieu of present integration paradigm of social pedagogy. In the content the focus is on understanding the specific features of the relationship between the minority of individuals with particular disabilities and intact majority. Students are introduced to the history of relationship of the society to the handicapped, to basic terminology, interdisciplinary concept of the field; they get a basic overview of impediments, disorders and basic orientation in relevant legislation and in the system of care in the area or health, education and social care.
