Students will understand the challenges and importance of regional archaeology. They will learn a brief history of archaeological research in Southwest Bohemia and the characteristics of individual settlement forms within the development of selected landscapes from the earliest prehistory to the end of the modern period in space and time. The most important monuments in the region under study and their significance for trans-regional links within Central Europe will be discussed.
