The aim of the course is to acquaint students with following problems: Chosen lectures of Mathematical Cartography 1,2: Basics of mathematical cartography ? coordinate systems, reference surfaces, map projections equations derivation. Gauss conformal ellipsoid onto sphere projection. Map projections used in ČSR and ČR (Křovák projection, Cassini-Soldner projection, Gauss-Krüger projection, Sanson-Flamsteed projection, UTM). Global coordinate systems (general properties), ways of their relative transformations and transformations accuracy. Transformations in GIS. Mathematical cartography and coordinate reference systems in relation to geodata. Introduction to mathematical methods of coordinate reference systems transformations. Introductions to available software used for data processing in terms of mathematical cartography.
