KMP/PEOZ

| The aim of the course is to examine the role of international law in relation to armed conflicts. It will focus in particular on the conditions under which States may resort to the use of force in accordance with the UN Charter and on the main principles of humanitarian law that warring parties have to respect. We will also examine selected historical and ethical aspects of the contemporary international law of war, with a view to better understanding this law and obtaining a basis for its critical assessment. |
