The aim of the course is to introduce students to the topic of comprehensive care for people with disabilities or socially disadvantaged persons in terms of the current paradigm of the integration in special education. The emphasis is placed on understanding the specifics of the relationship between minorities of people with different types of disabilities and the intact majority. Students will be introduced to the history of the relationship of major society to people with disabilities, they will be familiar with the basic terminology, the concept of an interdisciplinary field, acquire basic knowledge of defects and disorders, and basic knowledge of the relevant legislation and the system of care in the health sector, education and social care.
