Kurz navazuje na kurz DS1 a zaměřuje se především na Durkheimovskou sociologii, fenomenologickou sociologie a formování amerického sociologického myšlení.
The aim of course is to introduce students to the origins of sociological thought and its contemoprary legacy. The course focuses on the origin and significance of the French sociological school, and on paradigmatic revolution represented by Alfred Schutz and George Herbert Mead. Then the course deals with the formation of American sociology and the role of women in classical sociological thought.
