About course
This course is about research and research methods. It will outline the fundamentals of doing research at the undergraduate level. The course will appeal to those of you who require an understanding of research approaches and skills, and importantly an ability to deploy them in your studies. In particular, this course will aid those of you who have to conduct research as part of your diploma work
No prior knowledge or experience in research is required to take this course and as such, the course is for everyone however the examples and applications to the Sport Sciences will be presented.
According to Thomas and Nelson I have some recomendation for you:
- Attend and participate in class (does not matter if present or online) - 90 % of life is showing up.
- Take notes in/during class - writing it down is an effective way to learn.
- Read the assignet materials before class - be prepared!
- Plan and ask at least one question in every class - the most important recomendation!!!
- Develop and work with study group - does not matter if present or online; you can get the feedback immediately.
- Prepare for exam and oral presentation - do not cram; study and prepare over several days.
- Use university resources to improve learning - library, databases, internet.
- Visit often with me - does not matter if present or online; I am ready to help you.
