The aim of the course is its first part to explanation the political, social, cultural and economic development of the Bohemian lands in the 19th century in the wider international and geopolitical context, particularly then in relation to their inclusion in the Austrian, respectively Austro-Hungary Monarchy. The course focuses in its second part on the main events in the Czechoslovak history during the 20th century also (until the events in November 1989).
