The aim of the module is to familiarize the students with the situation in the Czech Countries during the war conflict. Also, the situation in the country before the war will not be omitted. For completeness, the outbreak of the First World War and immediate reaction of the Czechs and Slovaks will be included. Lectures will further involve the activities of the home and foreign movement, not missing out on the most important incidents related to the Czechoslovak legionnaires in Russia, France and Italy. Unnoticed will not be either the issues surrounding the foundation of the independent state. At the same time, attention will also be focused on the war economy, life in the background and culture.
