The aim of this course is to introduce students with chosen problems of history in the first half of the 20th century. Individual lectures will map the most important events and moments of the years 19181945, whether it is, in the words of John Maynard Keynes, the Carthaginian peace, which was imposed on Germany in Versailles, the attempts to resolving the problem of the collective security in twenties and thirties of the 20th century, the beginning of fascism in Italy and national socialism in Germany, the Spanish Civil War or the acceleration of events, on whose end the World War II broke out.
