Welcome
The goal of the subject Introduction to User Interfaces is to gain experience with the approaches and technologies that are used to design and create user interfaces. As for the technology, we will use Java and JavaFX library to create user interfaces, but both the information related to the architecture of the application with user interface and the guidelines for creating a good user interface is general and can be used with any other tool. The subject is designed for the students in the first year of FAV and should provide additional information to the mandatory subjects PPA1, PPA2 and OOP in the way that gives you the ability to create a reasonable user interface for the larger seminar work in the future years or real life. It is useful (but not necessary) to have at least some knowledge of the OOP before starting these subjects, but for those who do not have them, a basic introduction will be provided.
The main lecturer is Ing. Richard Lipka, Ph.D. and Ing. Ondřej Rohlík, Ph.D.
The practical part of the subject is taught by Ing. Richard Lipka, Ph.D. and Ing. Michal Nykl, Ph.D.
