Course objectives:

To prepare students of the PhD study programme for their possible future role of academics at the university. To familiarize them with the andragogy basics and specifics of university education. To organize their preparation for practical teaching, i.e. for giving seminars and under the tutor´s supervision for giving and trying lectures. To encourage them and guide them to prepare the study agenda and materials for the bachelor and master´s study programmes. To familiarize them with the administration systems and the quality management of educational process at the university. To provide feedback on the student´s teaching activities.

Requirements on student
|
Preparation for giving seminars in the bachelor or master's study programmes. Teaching during the semester (4 hours per week) + corresponding evaluation activity. Alternatively, active preparation for and participation in summer schools or professional workshops for students of bachelor and master's study programmes. For students of the combined form of study, a combination of lectures and other pedagogical workload in the corresponding extent. Possible participation in the preparation of university textbooks, e-learning and other study materials.

Content
|
The course is intended for doctoral studies.
It usually means giving seminars in the bachelor or master's study programmes including preparation of classes and their evaluation according to the specification provided by the tutor/supervisor or department head. Alternatively, it is possible to complete activities by participating in summer schools, workshops for students, etc. Partly, it is also possible to include preparation of study materials for students of lower study level. Students will also participate in evaluation and administrative tasks associated with the assigned pedagogical activity.
