Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the functioning of the health care system in the Czech Republic. After graduation, the student should be able to orientate in the basics of the organization and management of the organization in which he / she practices. The subject is conceived as practical. It focuses on preventive, primary and secondary care.

100% attendance Carefully crafted essay, which is presented to the medical and social facilities in which the ODP implemented, including a small own analysis of care with specific suggestions for improvement.

Content
|
Syllabus: The internship is oriented towards an introduction to preventive facilities and their basic organization norms, as well as towards an introduction to organizations attending to public health and primary care facilities. The main activities of the internship include: - Introduction to the organization structure and management of a chosen facility, its goals, target groups, links to the net of other institutions with the same specialization in the region, the position of the facility within the system of social administration and to the relations with not-for-profit organizations, other organizations and financial sources. - Acquiring knowledge of legal enactments related to the relevant area and making sense of them. - Making sense of specific procedures and techniques used during the work in the given organization. - Introduction to the documentation kept in the facility. - Integrating into the work team, collaborating on their tasks and performing independently administrative and organization tasks. - Applying and validating the students theoretical knowledge in practice. - Developing their basic communication skills. - Acquiring how to accept and transfer specific information, administer messages, collect data and background materials and study literature in view of the students professional growth. Searching for problems in the followed area and for proposals for their solution by experts in the field and assessing attitudes towards the proposed solutions.
