Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to emphasize the most important areas and regularities in the care of patients and also to introduce some of Nursing Using Model Situations. The course is designed to help students acquire basic knowledge, but also manual dexterity, assurance of safe and high-quality performance of professional procedures in patients. Well done performance respects the individual needs of patients, especially their need for respect, security and safety.

Content
|
Lectures
1.-2. Nursing process in monitoring and evaluation of basic physiological functions - consciousness, blood pressure, pulse, breath, body temperature, weight and height.
3.-4. Nursing process for oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular administration of the drug. Documentation, storage, preparation and application of drugs.
5.-6. Nursing process in the introduction of peripheral venous catheter, principles of peripheral venous catheter care. Intravenous application of drugs to peripheral and central catheters. Documentation, storage, preparation and application of drugs.
7.-8. Nursing procedure in interventional radiology. Types of examination. Preparation and care of a patient, aids, assistance in performance.
9.-10. Nursing procedure in patients with invasive inputs in connection with radiological procedures (stoma, urinary catheter, drainage, nasogastric probe). Sampling of biological material during invasive radiological procedures.
11. Principles of patient care with specific nursing care (barrier nursing care, surgical care).
Exercises
1.-2. Practical training of monitoring and evaluation of physiological functions of consciousness, blood pressure, pulse, breath, body temperature, weight and height.
3.-4. Practical training of oral and injecting drugs - preparation of devices, drugs and patient.
5.-6. Practical introduction of peripheral venous catheter, administration of drugs using peripheral venous catheter, care of peripheral venous catheter. Practical training of preparation and administration of infusion.
7.-8. Practical training in preparation of aids, environment and patient during interventional radiology.
9.-10. Practical training in manipulation and care of invasive inputs during radiological procedures (stoma, urinary catheter, drainage, nasogastric probe).
11. Practical training of patient care in barrier nursing care and in the operating room during radiological procedures.
