Course objectives:
|
Students will understand context of all important aspects in speech communication. They will be introduced to application of these theoretical knowledge in text analysis in individual language levels (morphology, syntax, semantics, stylistics etc.) They will improve their communication skills that create their own graduate?s profile.

Requirements on student
|
Credit: active participation in seminars, two mid-term tests, presentation of a paper, seminar work.

Content
|
Analysis of various technical text types concerning commercial purposes.
Introduction to individual language levels (morphology, syntax, semantic, stylistic) into deeper context.
Students will appraise importance of functional use of analyzed objects.

to describe the morphological system of German language |
to describe the structure of the German sentence and to interpret it with a Czech sentence |
to have a basic awareness of the differences in functional styles |
to characterize ways of enriching vocabulary |
to orientate in basic lexicological and lexicographical manuals |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
to communicate in German at B2/C1 level |
to analyze the language of German text |
to analyze the content page of the German text |
to correctly interpret the written and spoken (authentic and didactized) texts in German and the important information they provide |
to understand the longer written and spoken authentic text in German and to create a glossary with key terms |
