Course objectives:
|
Students of this course become acquainted with the key concepts in the world of business. Work with documents with fixed formats (e.g. annual report, market report or balance sheet) where emphasis is on learning the specific vocabulary and the ability to decode the given information, and with business news with emphasis on their understanding and interpreting.

Requirements on student
|
1.Regular performance of assigned tasks to specialized text. Their processing will have both oral
and written form.
2.Passing final test (70%). Students who meet all assignments, will be admitted to the final test.

Content
|
Students will be introduced with the term specialized text and their typology and functions. Specifics of Russian specialized texts will be characterised through analysis of authentic texts (lexical, morphological, syntactic and stylistic means). The attention is also devote to extralingvistic means. Students will be familiar with the basic principles of specialized texts and aquire the methods of their active and effective reading. The partial aim is the deeping in the specialized vocabluary. The course is taught in Russian.
