Course objectives:

Introducing the student into the subject of university studies and getting acquainted with the form and organization of studies. Students will be introduced to the basic issues of the field, the environment in which the study will take place, the institutions with whom they will cooperate, and the study requirements. The subject creates the prerequisites for a systematic understanding of the theoretical and practical methods used in studying music. In connection with the acquired knowledge, the students are encouraged to work independently with the specialized text and to create a professional text.

Requirements on student

1. Active work in seminars.
2. Obligatory participation in at least two excursions to scientific and cultural institutions in Pilsen
county.
3. Report.
4. Seminar work - to process the studied literary and electronic sources into a specialized text.

Content
|
Organization of studies at the Faculty of Education and at the Department of Music Culture. Practical acquaintance with the activities of the University Library, the Scientific Library and the Municipal Library in Pilsen and the Archive of the City of Pilsen. Work with professional literature, electronic resources and professional journals. Study of archival materials. Creation of professional text with musical themes
