Course objectives:

The aim of the seminar is to learn the theoretical foundations that are necessary to implement relaxation techniques and specific training of the exercises, to enhance students' ability to lead to autorelaxation. Students learn to use various techniques used for relaxation and energizing. Furthermore, they familiarize with elements of creativity in the treatment of stress, using music, movement and art.

Requirements on student
|
Students are expected to make individual and group presentation of techniques, study the recommended literature on this subject and to attend a colloquium of pre-determined topic. They must to do a final self-reflection orally or in written form.

1. Principles of mental hygiene, theory of demanding life situations.
2. Autogenic training.
3. Mantras, mandalas.
4. Yoga to tweak emotions.
5. Releasing and stretching exercises.
6. Art therapy for treatment of stress.
7. Music therapy.
8. Creativity and relaxation.
9. Dance therapy.
10. Work in groups.
11. Working with the body, anti-stress massage.
12. Self-reflection, discussion.
13. The final colloquium.

Basic concepts of general psychology, to describe the demanding life situations and their influence on behavior, feelings and health. |

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Students:
explain the terms of mental hygiene, psychosomatics, describe the symptoms of stress, active and passive recreation, burnout syndrom.
Students practically use individual relaxing and energetic techniques and are able to apply music therapy and art therapy for treatment of stress.
Students assess their own level of stress and correctly apply techniques that suit them.
