Course objectives:
|
This is an introduction to the sociology of institutions and formal organizations. It reviews the history of the field as well as major contemporary studies of organizations. It studies the bureaucratization of human interaction, the character of modern bureaucracy, and its role in postmodern societies. Some examples using the Czech armed forces are given as illustrations.

Requirements on student
|
A written essay, written or oral exam.
The processing of learning tasks is the essential part of this course. The learning tasks are controlled continuously by teacher. Texts for study are elaborated in required form (essay, presentation, resume, synopsis, abstract).

vytvořit po formální stránce akceptovatelný odborný výstup. |
aktivně používat zahraniční databáze odborných časopisů. |

vyjmenovat a charakterizovat jednotlivé srovnávací výzkumy využívající teoretických konceptualizací při studiu organizací a byrokracie. |
